472. Carrie Ivy⁷ VAN GUNDY (Daniel William⁶, John⁵, David Jr⁴, David Sr³, Peter Sr², Male¹) was born November 20, 1889. Carrie died October 15, 1980 in Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL, at 90 years of age.

She married twice. She married William C HOLSTON. William died August 25, 1973. William became the father of John SULLIVAN August 10, 1931. He resides 1946. She married Raymond CHIPPS in Charleston, Coles Co, IL, December 12, 1908. Raymond became the father of Daniel Abia CHIPPS in Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL, September 17, 1909. Raymond was divorced from Carrie Ivy VAN GUNDY in Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL, September 28, 1911.

At 19 years of age Carrie became the mother of Daniel Abia CHIPPS in Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL, September 17, 1909. Carrie was divorced from Raymond CHIPPS in Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL, September 28, 1911. At 41 years of age Carrie became the mother of John SULLIVAN August 10, 1931. According to stories told by those who knew her, she was somewhat of a character. One person said every family needed an Aunt Carrie. A niece, Dorisgene Van Gundy Webb, carries special memories of her ancestors: "I've heard the phrase "This is my favorite aunt, or uncle." I always liked to hear it myself. But in my case each one had a special place in my heart!" "Aunt Carrie was always wanting me to fix her hair. I burned her ears several times with the dryer but she never complained! Uncle Bill was always drinking wine and eating soup yet he stayed thin!"

Carrie Ivy VAN GUNDY and Raymond CHIPPS had the following child:

525 i. Daniel Abia⁸ CHIPPS was born in Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL September 17, 1909. Daniel died October 7, 1917 in Moultrie Co, IL, at 8 years of age. His body was interred in Greenhill Cem, Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL. Daniel was named for his grandfather, Abia Chipps.

Carrie Ivy VAN GUNDY and William C HOLSTON had the following child:

526 ii. John SULLIVAN was born August 10, 1931. He was adopted by Carrie and Bill.
