482. John Francis "Junior"⁷ VAN GUNDY (John Frederick "Freddy"⁶, John⁵, David Jr⁴, David Sr³, Peter Sr², Male¹) was born in Macon Co, IL March 2, 1918. John died April 5, 1987 in Castro Valley, CA, at 69 years of age.

He married twice. He married Female (Van Gundy). Female became the mother of Bradley Michael "Mike" VAN GUNDY February 11, 1943. He married Viola LaVerne Bellandi in Oakland, CA, November 26, 1950. Viola was born in Oakland, CA October 2, 1924. At 29 years of age Viola became the mother of Steven Richard VAN GUNDY in CA, April 21, 1954. At 31 years of age Viola became the mother of Scott Alan VAN GUNDY in CA, May 15, 1956. At 36 years of age Viola became the mother of Cheryl VAN GUNDY in CA, July 4, 1961.

He resides shortly after WWII. At 24 years of age John became the father of Bradley Michael "Mike" VAN GUNDY February 11, 1943. At 36 years of age John became the father of Steven Richard VAN GUNDY in CA, April 21, 1954. At 38 years of age John became the father of Scott Alan VAN GUNDY in CA, May 15, 1956. At 43 years of age John became the father of Cheryl VAN GUNDY in CA, July 4, 1961. John was not a true "Junior" but his family called him that anyway, probably because he was the youngest. He did not even like his first name and preferred being called "Van" according to his children. Children remember him as being a cold, distant person, not someone to be close to. Residences & events: Decatur, Macon Co, IL. Abt 1940 CA. Following the death of his mother and his father's remarriage, he left, escaping to the furthermost point in the US. He never returned and had little, if any, communication with the family after that. Uncle Elmer Van Gundy sent some money as a wedding gift and sister, Helen, visited once in 1961.

John Francis "Junior" VAN GUNDY and Female (Van Gundy) had the following child:

536 i. Bradley Michael "Mike"⁸ VAN GUNDY was born February 11, 1943. Mike has been practically lost to the family, having no communication with his half-brothers and sister, his father's second family, even though they reside in the same area of CA.

John Francis "Junior" VAN GUNDY and Viola LaVerne Bellandi had the following children:
