478. Clarence Walker "CW"⁷ VAN GUNDY (John Frederick "Freddy"⁶, John⁵, David Jr⁴, David Sr³, Peter Sr², Male¹) was born in Macon Co, IL October 3, 1900. Clarence died July 6, 1980 in Tuscola, Douglas Co, IL, at 79 years of age. His body was interred in Arcola Cem, Arcola, Douglas Co, IL.

He married Alma Marie DANNENMUELLER in Jackson, MO, July 10, 1923. Alma was born in Kelso, MO July 7, 1898. Alma died October 3, 1984 in Tuscola, Douglas Co, IL, at 86 years of age. Her body was interred in Arcola Cem, Arcola, Douglas Co, IL. At 28 years of age Alma became the mother of Clarence Walker, Jr VAN GUNDY in Macon Co, IL, May 22, 1927. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

At 26 years of age Clarence became the father of Clarence Walker, Jr VAN GUNDY in Macon Co, IL, May 22, 1927. According to a letter by brother, Everett, Clarence apparently enlised in WWI while still a student in high school, was wounded severely enough to be discharged and sent home. Clarence worked at the grain company at Filson, IL, eventually buying it out in 1943, renaming it the VanGundy Grain Co.

Clarence Walker "CW" VAN GUNDY and Alma Marie DANNENMUELLER had the following children:
