Richard died December 2, 1978 in Springfield, Sangamon Co, IL, at 37 years of age. His body was interred in Dodge Grove Cem, Mattoon, Coles Co, IL.

He married twice. He married Patricia Fern HILLERBY in Mattoon, Coles Co, IL, First Christian Church, November 19, 1961. Patricia was born April 7, 1943. At 19 years of age Patricia became the mother of Richard Allen PARKISON August 30, 1962. He married Janet Mae PARISH FULLER in Mattoon, Coles Co, IL, First Christian Church, November 18, 1978. This was the second marriage for Janet, having a daughter by her previous husband.

At 21 years of age Richard became the father of Richard Allen PARKISON August 30, 1962. Residences: Mattoon, IL. Aurora, IL. He worked at the Am Potash & Chemical Co there.
