65. John⁴ VAN GUNDY (David Sr³, Peter Sr², Male¹) was born 1794. John died 1850 in Streator, Grundy Co, IL, at 56 years of age.

He married Nancy Ann WISSLER in Pickaway Co, OH, December 6, 1818. Nancy was born 1794/95. At 26 years of age Nancy became the mother of James H Van Gundy in OH, 1821. Nancy is not listed with this family by other family researchers and could have been a relative of the other Whisler/Wissler folks who married into the family but is placed here because of her marriage date and place, which coincides with the rest of this family.

At 27 years of age John became the father of James H Van Gundy in OH, 1821. Residences: 1830 Salt Creek Twp, Pickaway Co, OH, where he was listed in the census, along with Daniel, Hannah, and Peter Van Gundy. McCutchonville, OH, was his residence when he died, according to some relatives. Cannot locate any such place on a map.

John VAN GUNDY and Nancy Ann WISSLER had the following children:

211 i. Henry⁵ VAN GUNDY.

212 ii. Samuel VAN GUNDY.

213 iii. Elijah VAN GUNDY. He married Mary A Smith in Pickaway Co, OH, by J A Brunner, MG, August 28, 1851.

214 iv. Elizabeth VAN GUNDY. She married Joseph Rasor in Pickaway Co, OH, by A Buckles, April 15, 1855.

+ 215 v. James H Van Gundy was born 1821.
