66. Peter⁴ VAN GUNDY (David Sr³, Peter Sr², Male¹) was born in PA about 1795. Peter died 1857 in Champaign, Champaign Co, IL, at 62 years of age. His body was interred in Harris Cem, Mahomet, Champaign Co, IL.

He married three times. He married Elizabeth Belly in Fairfield Co, OH, August 10, 1815. He married Martha JESTER in Pickaway Co, OH, January 26, 1826. He married Hannah (Van Gundy) about 1839. Hannah was born in PA 1820. At 20 years of age Hannah became the mother of Nancy VAN GUNDY in IL, 1840. At 22 years of age Hannah became the mother of Dorcas\Delilah VAN GUNDY in IL, 1842. At 26 years of age Hannah became the mother of Lee VAN GUNDY in IL, 1846.

At 45 years of age Peter became the father of Nancy VAN GUNDY in IL, 1840. At 47 years of age Peter became the father of Dorcas\Delilah VAN GUNDY in IL, 1842. At 51 years of age Peter became the father of Lee VAN GUNDY in IL, 1846. Residences & events: 1830 Scioto Twp, Pickaway Co, OH. He is listed in the census with 1 male under 5, 1 male 5-10, himself at 30-40, 1 female 5-10, and one female 20-30. 1840 IL, where daughter, Nancy was born, the exact location unknown. 1850 Naples, Scott Co, IL. Peter apparently decided to join the ones he had always been closest to through the years. He was a laborer in the census. 1860 Naples, Scott Co, IL. He was a farmer with $100 in personal property in the census. In the same area is a Delice Gundy, 18, as a servant girl living with the Buskirk family. This was probably daughter, Dorcas/Delilah.

Peter VAN GUNDY and Hannah (Van Gundy) had the following children:

216 i. Nancy⁵ VAN GUNDY was born in IL 1840.

217 ii. Dorcas\Delilah VAN GUNDY was born in IL 1842. Her name is different in every census, she was probably the "Delice" living with the Buskirk family as a servant in 1860.

218 iii. Lee VAN GUNDY was born in IL 1846.
