He married Susannah Combs July 17, 1831. Susannah was born in Ross Co, OH April 24, 1815. Susannah died 1859 at 44 years of age. Susannah became the mother of Franklin Van Gundy Jasper Co, IA. At 17 years of age Susannah became the mother of William W Van Gundy in Crawford Co, OH, May 21, 1832. At 18 years of age Susannah became the mother of Ruben J Van Gundy in Crawford Co, OH, January 13, 1834. At 19 years of age Susannah became the mother of Cyrus VAN GUNDY in Crawford Co, OH, February 3, 1835. At 23 years of age Susannah became the mother of Mary Maria Van Gundy in Crawford Co, OH, May 10, 1838. At 23 years of age Susannah became the mother of Daniel VAN GUNDY in OH, 1838. At 26 years of age Susannah became the mother of Lafayette Van Gundy in MO, May 1841. At 27 years of age Susannah became the mother of Christianna Van Gundy May 12, 1842. At 28 years of age Susannah became the mother of Angeline Van Gundy in Andrew Co, MO, March 21, 1844. At 31 years of age Susannah became the mother of Melinda Van Gundy in Madison Co, IA, September 6, 1846. At 36 years of age Susannah became the mother of Barbara Ellen Van Gundy in Jasper Co, IA, December 16, 1851.

John became the father of Franklin Van Gundy Jasper Co, IA. At 25 years of age John became the father of William W Van Gundy in Crawford Co, OH, May 21, 1832. At 26 years of age John became the father of Ruben J Van Gundy in Crawford Co, OH, January 13, 1834. At 28 years of age John became the father of Cyrus VAN GUNDY in Crawford Co, OH, February 3, 1835. At 31 years of age John became the father of Mary Maria Van Gundy in Crawford Co, OH, May 10, 1838. At 31 years of age John became the father of Daniel VAN GUNDY in OH, 1838. At 34 years of age John became the father of Lafayette Van Gundy in MO, May 1841. At 35 years of age John became the father of Christianna Van Gundy May 12, 1842. At 37 years of age John became the father of Angeline Van Gundy in Andrew Co, MO, March 21, 1844. At 39 years of age John became the father of Melinda Van Gundy in Madison Co, IA, September 6, 1846. At 44 years of age John became the father of Barbara Ellen Van Gundy in Jasper Co, IA, December 16, 1851. Daniel and Elizabeth may not belong to this family, being placed here because of their spouses and marriage place.

304 iv. Ruben J Van Gundy was born in Crawford Co, OH January 13, 1834. He married Naomi (Van Gundy).

306 vi. Mary Maria Van Gundy was born in Crawford Co, OH May 10, 1838. She married Aaron Minnick.

308 viii. Lafayette Van Gundy was born in MO May 1841. He married Louise Miller-Maus.

309 ix. Christianna Van Gundy was born May 12, 1842. She married twice. She married Male Barnes. She married Abraham Murrick.

310 x. Angeline Van Gundy was born in Andrew Co, MO March 21, 1844. She married Thomas Rayger.

311 xi. Melinda Van Gundy was born in Madison Co, IA September 6, 1846. She married William Hilton.

312 xii. Barbara Ellen Van Gundy was born in Jasper Co, IA December 16, 1851. She married John Fleming Hunnell.
