493. Delbert Best⁷ VAN GUNDY (John Neal⁶, Charles Wesley⁵, Daniel⁴, David Sr³, Peter Sr², Male¹) was born in Monticello Twp, Piatt Co, IL 1881. Delbert died 1975 in Blackwell, OK, at 94 years of age. His body was interred in Pond Creek, OK.

He married twice. He married Carrie Catherine Knott 1914. Carrie was born 1883. Carrie died 1921 at 38 years of age. At 36 years of age Carrie became the mother of Grace Alice VAN GUNDY in OK, near Calumet, 1919. He married Anna Charlotte Rinkel 1924. Anna was born 1892. Anna died 1978 at 86 years of age.

At 38 years of age Delbert became the father of Grace Alice VAN GUNDY in OK, near Calumet, 1919. He resides in Pond Creek, OK 1958. Delbert was a school teacher, deputy county clerk, farmer, and Methodist preacher, perhaps not all at once though.

559 i. Grace Alice⁸ VAN GUNDY was born in OK, near Calumet 1919. She married Robert Martin Jr Templeton 1940. Robert was born 1918. Robert was a preacher. She graduated from Hinton, OK, high school; then SWST College at Weatherford, OK, in 1941 with a degree in public school music. She had 4 children by Rev Templeton.
