250. Joseph⁶ VAN GUNDY (Jacob⁵, Jacob⁴, Capt Joseph Sr *³ Van Gundy, David² VAN GUNDY, Male¹) was born August 25, 1839. Joseph died April 1922 at 82 years of age.

He married twice. He married Sarah M Needham. Sarah was born 1844. Sarah died January 15, 1881 in Crawford Station, Scotland Co, MO, at 36 years of age. At 19 years of age Sarah became the mother of Mary Alice VAN GUNDY September 25, 1863. At 22 years of age Sarah became the mother of Harve VAN GUNDY August 26, 1866. At 24 years of age Sarah became the mother of Nancy Ann VAN GUNDY January 28, 1869. At 29 years of age Sarah became the mother of Sally VAN GUNDY 1873. At 31 years of age Sarah became the mother of Thomas VAN GUNDY 1875. At 33 years of age Sarah became the mother of Louisa VAN GUNDY February 9, 1878. At 36 years of age Sarah became the mother of Joseph M VAN GUNDY January 15, 1881. He married Sara Catherine Tatman Campbell December 21, 1883. Sara was born 1849. Sara died January 1, 1907 in Memphis, MO, at 57 years of age. At 36 years of age Sara became the mother of Kathryn VAN GUNDY December 13, 1885.

At 24 years of age Joseph became the father of Mary Alice VAN GUNDY September 25, 1863. At 27 years of age Joseph became the father of Harve VAN GUNDY August 26, 1866. At 29 years of age Joseph became the father of Nancy Ann VAN GUNDY January 28, 1869. At 33 years of age Joseph became the father of Sally VAN GUNDY 1873. At 35 years of age Joseph became the father of Thomas VAN GUNDY 1875. At 38 years of age Joseph became the father of Louisa VAN GUNDY February 9, 1878. At 41 years of age Joseph became the father of Joseph M VAN GUNDY January 15, 1881. At 46 years of age Joseph became the father of Kathryn VAN GUNDY December 13, 1885. He was a twin to Keziah. He served in the Civil War.

Joseph VAN GUNDY and Sarah M Needham had the following children:

411 i. Mary Alice⁷ VAN GUNDY was born September 25, 1863. Mary died November 6, 1881 at 18 years of age. Her husband's name was Jim Lancaster.

412 ii. Harve VAN GUNDY was born August 26, 1866.

413 iii. Nancy Ann VAN GUNDY was born January 28, 1869. Nancy died May 24, 1962 in Lamar, MO, at 93 years of age. She married Irvin B Talbott.

414 iv. Sally VAN GUNDY was born 1873. She and her husband, E H Cathell, had 3 children.

415 v. Thomas VAN GUNDY was born 1875. Thomas died January 12, 1877 at 1 year of age.

416 vi. Louisa VAN GUNDY was born February 9, 1878. Louisa died September 29, 1882 at 4 years of age.

417 vii. Joseph M VAN GUNDY was born January 15, 1881. He was married twice, his wives names were Gracie Todd and Minnie Ray.

Joseph VAN GUNDY and Sara Catherine Tatman Campbell had the following child:

418 viii. Kathryn VAN GUNDY was born December 13, 1885. Her husband's name was Nathan Rorsbaugh.
