"Anna was rather tall and well formed, she had light hair and blue eyes, and she usually weighed about 200 pounds. She was very patient, even tempered and devoted companion and mother. She believed in being kind to every body and was always ready to excuse and forgive a fault. She was a fine singer and was noted for her musical talent. She was for many years an active member of the Methodist Church and fully believed in a knowledge of sins forgiven. She fortunately lived at a time when it was in order for the men and women to shout in the Methodist Church, and were taught to not quench the spirit, but to praise the Lord with full freedom and with their whole heart. This blessed privilege she enjoyed for many years."
