Rigney, Jr, of Arthur, was instantly killed at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening when an automobile in which she was riding turned over on the Springfield road, one and one half miles from Arcola....." It goes on to give her birth date, maiden name, marriage date and mother's name.
"Throng Attends Rigney Funeral
Arthur, July 11-The funeral of Mrs Margaret Hofsac Rigney, wife of Lieut. Hugh Rigney of this city who was killed in an automobile accident near Arcola Tuesday night was conducted from the Vine Street Christian Church here (Atwood) at 2:30 this afternoon (Friday) by Rev. Joel T. Davis of Tuscola.
The church was filled to overflowing and it was the largest funeral held here in years. Burial was in the Arthur cemetery.
The active pallbearers were Inscoe (?) Day, Garold Barnhardt, Fred Wiley, Wilber Storey, Ervin Day and Warren Wierman.
The honorary pallbearers were Ota Day, Gladys Cameron, Bomrile (?) Roberts, Lena Jamper (?), Grace Roberts, Maurine Stevenson and Hollace Muire,
The flowers were in charge of Marie Bowman, Cleone Rose, Maude Van Vleet, Blanche Van Vleet, Dorothy Smith, Lela Billman, Sabra Edmonson, Lena Randall and Nellie Thrasher."
