10/17/1850 Scott Co, IL. The census that year recorded his name as Hoskell and said he was a 53 year old farmer with property valued at $1900. Wife Sarah was 49 and had more property than he did at $2200. Living with them were Milles children - Eliza, 20; George W, 17; and Julia A, 15; and Haskell children: Daniel, 10; Elizabeth J, 3; and John J H, 1.
