7/27/1850 Same place. The census taker recorded Isaac as a 38 year old laborer with real estate worth $50. Wife Sarah A was 36 and their children were Susannah, 12, Wm L, 10, George W, 8, John A, 4, and Nancy E, 1. Also living there was John Conner, 35, without occupation. John was probably Sarah's brother. Next door was the Isaac Conner family with some Bixler children. Just down the raod was Isaac's sister Mary and Jacob Fortner.
7/3/1860 Kingston Twp, PO Chillicothe, Ross Co, OH. That year at census time he was 45 years old, Sarah was 46 and they had a large family consisting of Susan, 22, Lafayette, 20, Geo W, 17, John A, 12, Nancy, 11, Eliza and Clarissa, 6. Isaac was a farmer with property valued at $450/375.
He served from 6/4/1846 to 6/1847 with the rank of Pvt in the Mexican War with Co I 2nd Rgmt, Ohio State Militia, Chilicothe, OH.
6/6/1870 Same place. By the next census it seems Isaac, 59, had remarried as his wife's name was Mary A, 56 but apparently the census taker misunderstood her name as Sarah was head of the household later. Isaac was a day laborer with only real estate worth $600, no personal property. Still at home were Susan, 32; William Lafayette, 29, George W, 26, both day laborers; John, 23, stage driver; Ellen, 22; and Clarissa and Eliza, 16. Also counted there were Enoch Steadman, 26, stage driver, with his daughter Sarah L, 2.
