9/6/1860 Sullivan Co, near Green Castle, MO. The census recorded George W at 27, a farmer with property valued at $1600/200. Isabel was 28 and the already had several children: Sarah, 8, John W, 7, Harriett, 4, James M, 3, and Mary J, 2 months.
George served as a Lt in a MO regiment for the last 2 yrs of the Civil War.
1864-1865 OR where two children were born. George must have rested there at least 2 years before moving on.
6/23/1870 Tumwater, Thurston, Washington Territory. Before the next census, the family had moved far away where they remained. George W was 36, still farming and his estate was worth $1500/500. Isabella was 36 and their children were: James M, 13; John W, 11; Mary B, 8; Sera J, 3, Fanny M, 6, and George G, 5.
6/29/1880 Same place. That year George was 48, a farmer, Isabel was 44 and their family included: James M, 22, Lora, 18, George J, 15, Jesse, 7, as well as daughter Fannie M, 16 and her husband Mortimer Jenks, 31.
6/5/1900 S Union Pct Thurston, WA. That year George was 66, married 47 years to Isabella, 64, who had birthed 9 children but one of them had died already. George was still farming. Living next door was son John's family.
