1800 Mercer Co, KY. On census records there is a Daniel listed here but it is yet unknown if it was this man.
1810 Nicholas Co, KY. He and son, Walter, were the only Neaves listed in the KY census.
1820 Nicholas Co, KY At census time Danl and son Walter "Neeves" lived next door to each other and still were the only ones by the name in the state.. Daniel was over 45 years old with a family consisting of 1 male under the age of 10, 3 at 16-26, 1 female age 10-16, and 1 also over 45. Four people were engaged in agriculture.
1828 Harrison Co, KY, where he died.
His will, dated 9/8/1828 and signed by an X, was witnessed by M Browning, Harmon Stevens, and Eli Forsythe. It was probated in December, 1828. In it he stated he was "weak in body" and mentioned: his wife, Mary, deceased daughter, Judith Barrett, her part to go to her son, Elijah Barrett, "if he continues with my wife and behaves himself and takes good care of her," and infant granddaughter, Eliza, daughter of deceased son, James. His real estate was to be divided among his children at his wife's death.
