The early reunion notes did not mention George as a son of John but, because of the disinterested share of John's estate, is included here.

1853 Moultrie Co, IL. In the settlement of the estate of William Powell, son of John and Margaret Huff Powell, was this receipt:
"June the 4th 1853 Recievd of John Powell Administrator of the estate of Wm Powell deseast mi disinterrested shar in full of the Estate of Said Deseast.
2/27/1865 Moultrie Co, IL. Estray notice (he claimed a stray animal, probably a horse).
6/1865 George petitioned for a road change (Sullivan-Mattoon).
