The bio of son-in-law Samuel Armstrong in the History of Wyandot Co, OH says:
"Mr. Armstrong was married September 19,1875, to Maria Van Gundy, daughter of Michael (Ford) Van Gundy, and a native of this county. Her

parents were natives of Ross County, Ohio, and had three children-Theodore, Maria and Enoch, the latter deceased. The father died in 1848, and the mother in 1856."
