Notes for Frank Walter MARTIN

1882 He was selected to serve on the jury in the trial of the Roselyn bank robbery suspects.

1896 Kittitas Co, WA. He ran as a Republican for County Clerk position but lost to the Fusionist Party candidate by a count of 1276 to 1053 votes.

1889-1890 Frank puchased several pieces of real estate and 2 years later sold them to John M Newman, a major land developer in the Kittitas Valley.

6/15/1900 Roslyn, Kittitas Co, WA. The census taker found Frank W, as a salesman in a shoe dept, at age 32, married 10 years to Eva A, 30, who had birthed 2 children: son Carol V, 8, and daughter Conie E, 5. Living with them was brother-in-law John Hinkin (should be Heckman?), 24, dry goods salesman, and boarder Ella S Heckman, 25, school teacher.

4/22/1910 2-Wd Cle Elum, Kittatas Co, WA. That year the census listed him aa living in the same area as brothers Charles and Van. He was 42 years old, married 19 years to Eva, 38, who had birthed 3 children: son Carol, 18, and daughters Connie, 15, and Freda, 5. Also living there were 2 boarders, C Helm, 28, public school teacher, and Clarence Perry, 18, department store salesman. Frank's occupation was post master.
