Notes for Robinson CHILCOTE

Residences & events:

From Inhabitants of Baltimore County, Maryland:

Among the 1768 "signers for the removal of the county seat to Baltimore Town" were:
Humphrey Chilcote
Roberson Chilcote
John Chilcote
Joshua Chilcote

From researcher Mary Phillips: "Robinson had moved to PA before 1770, but the indians became troublesome and he moved from his farm near Shirleysburg, PA to NC at the time of the Revolution. Robinson joined the American Army and was captured by the British and died of swamp fever in NC as a prisoner. He was a surveyor."

1779 Dublin Twp, Bedford County, PA. His name was on the taxable list without acreage but he did have one horse and two cattle.

Allegedly Robinson died of swamp fever.
