As a minor at the time of his father's death, brother William was appointed to be his guardian. His portion of his father's farm was bought out by William. He continued to live with William until he married, buying and selling various pieces of property with him.
1852 Mary transferred her church membership year apparently for a move to Indiana according to Mary's biography. When they moved back to Ohio is unknown.
Brother John, living in IA, gave him power of attorney to collect the money owed him from the estate of a Jacob Savely.
He was a machinist at Columbus, OH and listed in the city directory as such until 1908.
