6/10/1800 Mason Co, KY. He was listed in the county tax roll along with Laurence, Thomas, and William.

1810 Mason Co, KY. At census time James family included 1 male under the age of 10, 1 age 10-16, 1 16-26, himself over 45, 2 females under 10, 2 age 10-16, 2 at 16-26 and his wife was also over 45.

James served in the War of 1812 as a Pvt in Demmitt's Co from Mason Co, KY, led by Capt Moses Demmitt.

3/9/1813 Mason Co, Ky. James served as bondsman for the marriage of Eleanor Ginn and
Harry Hampton.

1820 Still in the same place. His family consisted of 1 male 10-15, 1 at 16-18, 3 aged 16-25, 1 at 26-44, himself over 45, 1 female 10-15, 3 aged 26-44 and his wife was over 45. James, Thomas and William Ginn all lived in the same county.

Descendants say he committed suicide.
