1840 Crawford, Sycamore Co, OH. In Peter's household that year were 1 male under the age of 5, 2 age 5-10, probably Peter at 30-40, 1 male age 60-70, 1 female under 5, 1 at 5-10, 1 age 15-20, 1 at 30-40, and 1 at 50-60.

About the same period (1848) came to this township the following: Peter Betzer, William Griffith, Michael Van Gundy, Jeptha Brown, Andrew Clingman, David Ford, the Crawfords and Starkeys, James Milligan, Jesse Ingerson, William Goodman, James and Lorin Pease, and Conrad Betz.
7/26/1850 Sycamore Twp, Wyandot Co, OH. At census time Peter and Barbary were 47 years old with a large family: John, 29, Jane, 25, born PA; Sarah A, 15, Barbary, 10, and Samuel, 5. Next door were his aged parents, on the other side lived the Stephen Ford family with Gilliams, followed by several Eyestones.
7/10/1860 Crane Twp, PO Upper Sandusky, Wyandot Co, OH. That census listed Peter and Barbara at age 57, he was a farmer with property worth $5600/500. At home were Barbara, 15, and Samuel, 15, as well as Peter's 77 year old mother Sarah.
6/18/1870 Sycamore Twp, PO Carey, Wyandot Co, OH. Peter and Barbara were both 67 years old at census time, he was still farming. Living with them was housekeeper, Ruth Blinkenan, 34, born VA, and her daughter Ada, 6. No property was listed for Peter but little Ada had $8400 worth of real estate. There were 2 younger Betzer families in the same county.
6/23/1880 Nevada Eden Twp, Wyandot Co, OH. At census time Peter, 77, was boarding with daughter Eliza and William Gillam.
Some say Peter died in 1876 but since he was in the 1880 census, that obviously is incorrect.
