Notes for John POWELL

Residences & events;

11/7/1763 Deed: concerning a Contract of Marriage between me JOHN POWELL and FRANCES, the Daughter of MARK STOWERS, it was imagined by some people that the said Mark Stowers mades some light promise to me. . . of £ 200? . . .which said promise might in time to come occasion some trouble. These are to certifie -- that I have received full satisfaction of Stowers for all gifts -- that I have no claim or demands -- me nor my heirs against Mark Stowers or his heirs. . 7 Nov 1763. . .
