Ira Marshall Elliott, son of Joshua and Anna Hartman Elliott was born January 19, 1900 and passed away May 12, 1973 at the age of 73. On May 31, 1924, he was united in marriage to Vivian Myrtle Glosser who died on August 9, 1936. To this union were born two sons; Walter, deceased and Thomas of Los Angeles, California. On October 12, 1937, Ira was married to Beulah Ann Luthe of Jewett. She also preceded him in death on September 12, 1940. A stepson, Charles H. (Bud) Luthe passed away October 11, 1942. A step-daughter, Mrs. Naomi I. Malcolm of Toledo and two grandchildren survive. Ira a nd Margaret A. Croy were united in marriage on September 14, 1949 and she is the surviving widow, together with a stepdaughter, Mrs. Virginia Bowman and o ne grandson, Mark, of Toledo. Ira Elliott was a life long resident of Cumberla nd County, a veteran of World War II and an active member of American Legion Post no. 764. Survivors include his widow Margaret, of Toledo, one son Thomas L. of Los Angeles, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Naomi Malcolm and Mrs. Virginia Bowman, three grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Frances Helgerson, Mattoon,
one brother, Elmer, of Neoga, 4 nieces and 12 nephews. Two brothers John of Washi ngton and Bill of Toledo, preceded Ira in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the First Christian Church in Toledo with Rev. Bill Scattergood of Washington, Ill., and Rev. Richard Cook officiating. Services were at 2:00 P.M. on May 15, 1973 and interment was at the Elliott Cemetery. Pallbearers were : Gene Nichols, Harlan Brown, Rex Eagleson, John McClain, Rex Ballinger and Waymond Croy. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Toledo American Legion Post.
Toledo, Ill.- Ira Elliott, 73, of Toledo died at 10:15 A.M. Sat urday of an apparent heart attack in Elliott Cemetery, west of Toledo. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday in Toledo Christian Church. Friends may call after 4 P.M. today at the Bishop Funeral Home,

He is survived by his widow, the former Margaret Rand olph; one son, Thomas of Los Angeles, Calif.; two step-daughters Mrs. Virgini a Bowman and Mrs. Naomi Malcom, both of Toledo; a brother Elmer of Neoga; a sister, Mrs. Frances Helgerson of Mattoon; three grandchildren.
