Growing up between two brothers, she is somewhat of a tomboy, beingathletic and extremely competitive.
In high school, she was a trackrunner and often ran several miles during leisure time as well.
Eveninto adulthood most of her activities centered around competition ofsome sort, such as
playing softball with the church team. Upon reaching teenage years, Julie developed an affliction similar tothat suffered by her great, great grandmother, Delia Ward Weaver,fibrile seizures of epileptic type. As a result of medications inaddition to the stigma and myths associated with epilepsy, her lifehas been a series of ups and downs. However, she became an overcomer when she was touched by two people: aman who loved her enough to overlook occasional health problems andmarried her anyway; and a boss who was informed and supportivewhenever she needed a boost. She received an Associate's degree in business from Olney CentralCollege. |
