At census time all hischildren were listed as well as wife, Susan. Also living with themwas a Frank Burns, 33, servant. Abt 1932 Jonathan Creek Twp, Moultrie Co, IL. His wife's obituary in1956 said she had lived in the Jonathan Creek community for the past24 years. Nathan's obituary described him as a "prominent Jonathan Creekfarmer." He was a member of the Jonathan Creek Christian Church. |

Nathan had been ill for several months but had been in the hospital only one day. All the children, except Merle, still lived at home at the time of his death. |

His funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Christian Church of Sullivan with Rev W.B. Hopper, assisted by Rev Lee Davis, conducting the service. Pallbearers were: Duane, Kenneth, and Carlton Purvis; Orville Powell; Wayne Miller; and Harold Newboulds. |
