1830 Scioto Twp, Pickaway Co, OH. He is listed in the census with 1male under 5, 1 male 5-10, himself at 30-40, 1 female 5-10, and onefemale 20-30.

1840 IL, where daughter, Nancy was born, the exact location unknown.

4/10/1850 Peter abandoned wife, Martha, and 2 daughters.

1850 Naples, Scott Co, IL. Peter apparently decided to join family.He was a laborer in the census.

1860 Naples, Scott Co, IL. He was a farmer with $100 in personalproperty in the census. In the same area is a Delice Gundy, 18, as aservant girl living with the Buskirk family. This was probablydaughter, Dorcas/Delilah.

Birth Note
Some relatives have his birth date as 1805, in which case, he wouldhave been too young to have married in 1815.

Marriage Note
The license was issued on 1/26/1826 but there was no return. The dateposted is from divorce proceedings in which Peter stated theirmarriage date.

Divorce Note
Peter filed a petition for divorce on 2/7/1855 stating he had been aresident of Pickaway Co for more than one year and that on 1/15/1827he married Martha Jester and that they lived together as man and wifeuntil about 4/10/1850 when he abandoned her for just cause. "Shehaving been guilty of gross negligence and adultery and that she hasbeen guilty of adultery for three years and more by cohabiting andcommitting adultery, proof of which is that she has had three childrensince their separation and that she lives in Jackson Township with oneJoseph Tipton. The petitioner further states that she also committedadultery with one Jonathan madden about the 10th day of March 1852."

There was no mention of any children between them.
