on a land transfer and several familylistings also omit his name. Residences: 10/1/1807 Chillicothe, Ross Co, OH. The local newspaper carried alist of letters left at the Post Office, among which was a Henry Beatyin care of S Gundey. 1816-1818 Green Twp, Ross Co, OH. As an early settler, he was listedon the tax lists each year, along with another Samuel Van Gundy. In1818 Peter Van Gundy was also in the same township. 1820 Green Twp, Ross Co, OH. He was living near brother, Jacob andnephew, John, at census time. 1832 Shawnee Twp, Fountain Co, IN. 1840 Fountain Co, IN. At census time, he was a neighbor to son,David, while brother, John, and his son lived just down the road. 1850 Same place. That census said he and Margaret had living attheir house, son Samuel, Eleanor Firebaugh, 20, born in OH, and EdwinR Keyt, 17, born in PA. |
