She was an active member of the First Christian Church of Mattoon, IL,and held several positions
during the 56 years of her attendancethere. She worked at Henery Produce Co, My Store grocery store, and theMattoon Flower shop where she worked with roses. Following retirement, she lived at the IOOF Fellowship Center whereshe was known as "The Rose Lady" because of her care of the rosegardens. |
| She had been in the IOOF nursing home for some time prior to herdeath. She was the last of her siblings to die. |
| Her funeral was held at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with RevRobert Clark of the First Christian Church and Rev Henry Grahamofficiating. Pallbearers were descendants, Dale English, Tony Kile,Thad and Jenni Arrasmith, Tony Orndorff, and Jeff Brewer. Honorarypallbearers were Jennifer Brewer and Jeanette Kile. |
