Residences & events: 5-2-1864 Ross Co, OH. At age 18 he enlisted in the Civil War as a100 day man with Co D 149th, at age 18. He was among those takenprisoner on 7/9/1864 but it must have been a short stay as he wasdischarged shortly after on 8/30/1864. He owned several acres of land in the county, some acquired from thegovernment, possibly as payment for war service. |
