The early reunion notes did not mention George as a son of John but,because of the disinterested
share of John's estate, is included here. Residences & events: 1853 Moultrie Co, IL. In the settlement of the estate of WilliamPowell, son of John and Margaret Huff Powell, was this receipt: "June the 4th 1853 Recievd of John Powell Administrator of the estateof Wm Powell deseast mi disinterrested shar in full of the Estate ofSaid Deseast. George Powell" 2/27/1865 Moultrie Co, IL. Estray notice (he claimed a stray animal,probably a horse). 6/1865 George petitioned for a road change (Sullivan-Mattoon). |
