McClintock, their guardian.In 1808, Josiah purchased from George Hull and Josiah Thomas 45 to 50acres on Jackson's River in Bath County, part of 270 acres sold byRobert Armstrong to William and James Cochran, who sold to JohnCoonrood, who sold to Josiah Thomas, who associated Hull, and thenthey sold to Lovejoy. Coonrood sold remainder of tract to CharlesRodgers, who sold to Levi Skidmore and then Armstrong and wifeconveyed the whole 270 acres to Skidmore. Josiah Lovejoy was drownedJune, 1812. James McElheney has obtained decree vs. Rodgers, Skidmoreet als., for sale of the 270 acres. |
