Caven Co, Northern Ireland

At age 10-15 William supposedly arrived in America with older brother,Charles, before the Revolutionary War.

NJ, near Philadelphia, PA was where they settled and there he marriedMary.

Hunterdon Co, NJ was the family homeplace and may be the same place asthe last residence.

Early 1780s NC. Following sons, James and Charles, the family movedto the Jersey settlement on the Yadkin River.

1790 Rowan Co, NC. He and 2 other William Dailys were living thereat census time.

1794 Davidson Co, NC. William entered land there according to landrecords: The State Grants #2670, at 30 shillings the 100 acres toWilliam 100 acres Flat Swamp and Buck Branch next to Leonard Smith andJohn Conger. This piece of property was sold in 1816 by grandson,Edmund Daily, son of Charles, who may have inherited it. Buyers wereJames and Joseph Cerick.

If this couple married in 1780, then some of the children must belongto first wife.
