She was maid of honor for the wedding of her sister, June.

Sister, Doris, told of Pauline's ingenuity in getting the job done:

"Our kids always liked to go to Aunt Paud's house. She was anexcellent cook, and everyone just 'did their own thing.' One day Paudwas mashing potatoes when her mixer quit. She went to the garage,returned with Fred's drill, and finished mashing the potatoes. Werethe kids impressed!"
The funeral was held at the First Christian Church, Mattoon, IL, withRev Rbt Clark officiating.
