Emanuel was a brother to Rachel, wife of James Daily.

Residences & events:

1850 Vienna Twp, Scott Co, IN. At census time he and Mary had a 2month old baby named John. He was listed as a farmer with property =$150. Living with them was 21 year old William Porter, also a farmer.In the same township were Mary's relatives, the family of Daniel Crumand several McGuires.

1856 Coles Co, IL. The family arrived this year according to familyhistory recorded in the county history book. In the party were 2 ofEmanuel's aunts and their families, both Crums, and the Dailys.

1860 Coles Co, IL. At census time, he was a farmer with 4 children.

1900 Coles Co, IL. By that census, as a 74 year old widower, he wasliving with the family of brother-in-law, Josiah Daily as a boarder.
He was listed in the 1900 census with brother-in-law, Josiah &Margaret Daily, as a boarder.
