9/18/1835 Indiana was still his place of residence when he bought 2plots of land in Vermilion Co, IL. He bought 325.69 acres, at S2,T18N, R12W, PM2, for $1.25/acre from a federal sale for a total of$407.12 and another 80 acres, at S20, T19N, R12W, PM2, for the sameprice from a section sale, a total of $100.

1837 Perry Twp, Wayne Co, IN. James and his family were among the1st members of the United Brethren Church.
