History records:

"He suffered all the hardships and privations of frontier life, but
was known as a hard-working industrious and successful farmer, and at
the time of his death was held in high esteem in the township in which
he lived."

Residences & events:

1831 Curtisville, Morgan Twp, Coles Co, IL.

1850 Coles Co, IL. He was living next door to Zachariah Collins in
the census with property =$300, no occupation listed.

1860 Still no occupation but now his property = $2300/80. Living
next door was sister, Mary McAllister, and family.

1870 He was living next door to the Nesbits. (A Nesbit was living
was with his widow in the 1880 census as a farm hand.)
