Till 1868 Greenup, IL. Her parents & family were in the 1870 censusthere.

9/1927 820 N 19th St, Mattoon, IL. Living at the same address was aMrs RJ Bowser. Could this be daughter, Lucinda?

Martha applied for and received a Widow's Pension from John's CivilWar Service even though they had been divorced since 1870. Apparentlyshe had never remarried as her name was still Arthur. Witnesses to theapplication were: Mrs R J Bowser & C H Douglas,
Notary Public, of 700 Lafayette Ave, Mattoon.

Martha Arthur died 6/26/1936 Danville, Vermilion Co, IL
