He was a carpenter with the Price Cosntruction Co in Mattoon, IL, andalso worked for the Kull Lumber Co.

He was a member of the Salvation Army and an avid fisherman.
The funeral was held at 1:30 on Monday at the Schilling Funeral Homewith Major Roger Windell and Envoy Don Kincade of the Salvation Armyofficiating, assisted by Captain D Wakefield. Brother, Ralph, sang"Just a Closer Walk With Thee" and in addition to the organist'snumbers a duet of guitarists played and sang "Love Without End, Amen."

Pallbearers were David J Arthur, lewis Edwards, William Ramsey, TomParker, John Pearson, and Nathan Arthur.
