Residences & events:

1850 Richland Pct, Clark Co, IL. The census taker found him with 6children at home and property = $800. He and sons, James and Coleman,were listed as farmers. Living 2 doors down were his aged in-laws and2 doors down on the other side was a brother-in-law.

1860 Westfield Twp, Clark Co, IL. At census time he was a farmerwith property = $1600/800 and son, John, 32, was still at home. Thechild, Sarah A, may have been John's daughter. Most of the neighborswere Bennetts.

1870 Same residence. He and Rebecca lived next door to son, Joshua,at census time. Francis was still a farmer and his property had grownto $3000/200.
Rebecca was a widow by 1880.
