Residences & events:

1828 Licking Co, OH, where he was married.

1830 Licking Co, OH. He and Hethcoate were residents there at censustime. There was another Nicodemus in Cranbury Twp, Crawford Co, OH,perhaps father or grandfather?

1850s Morrow Co, OH, where several of the children were married.

1860 Grandview Twp, Edgar Co, IL. The census taker recorded his ageat 53 (was actually 56), his property at $800/1100 and said he was afarmer. There were 4 children still at home plus a Benjamin Hood, 14,living with them. Two doors down was son, Benjamin.

5/30/1868 Douglas Co, IL. No current residence was given when hebought 40 acres of railroad property at S2 R09E T14N for $10.00/acre.

1870 Bowdre Twp, Douglas Co, IL, at census time he had property =$4800/0 and was a "minister of the gospel." At home with him andAnna, were son Charles, 18, as farm laborer, daughter, Jemima Done,24, probably widowed, and her son, John W Done, at 6.

12/31/1870 Douglas Co, IL. He bought more railroad land at the samelocation as in 1868, again for $10/acre. He bought 2 plots containing38.61 acres each.

Chesterville, Douglas Co, IL, where he died, possibly while livingwith daughter, Jennie Davis.
Cemetery records say he died 12/23/1876.

His wife relinquished her right of administration of his estate toson, Charles. FM Rush and George H Mason supplied the security bondand Caleb Bales, WN Shaw and Robert H Shaw were appointed appraisers.The final settlement was done 1/1879.
