Notes for John PURVIS

His and Winifred's birth dates were both Mar 24 but the years are inquestion. Some records have them born in 1711 and 1712 respectivelyand others indicate they were twins.

This man may have been the John Purvis who settled in SC in 1747. On3/1748 that John petitioned the SC Council for 150 acres of land onThompson's Creek and Pedee River, stating he had a wife and one child,and that he came from VA the previoous year. His petition was grantedand his family became numerous and prominent.
His birth year is 1711 in LDS records.
