Notes for John WHITLEY

LDS records have a duplicate family which mirrors John and Mary'sexactly but the dates are much earlier, making them too old forsucceeding generations.

VA estate records used as documentation for John's death date asabout 1695 must belong to another man by the same name, perhaps anuncle. DAR records use the same date. LDS records have his marriagedate as 1695 and all the children were born later, the more plausibleinterpretation.
There was an estate that was inventoried in 1758 and a will probatedin 1761, either of which may have belonged to this John.
