9/28/1864 Kansas, Edgar Co, IL. This was recorded as his residencewhen he mustered out of Civil War service where he was a Corporal inthe 135th IL Inf-C for a 1 year term.

1880 Newman Twp, Douglas Co, IL. His family at census time consistedof his wife and 5 children. He was a farmer. Living in the same areawere brothers, James and Joshua.

1900 Murdock Twp, Douglas Co, IL. Nathan was still a farmer and hada full house. The youngest 2 children were probably children ofdaughter Mary, and should have been listed as grandchildren ratherthan son and daughter.
