Walter's estate was not settled until 5/19/1861. Son, Nimrod, was administrator and the total value of personal property was $677.75, mostly in 6 notes outstanding to various people. Nimrod paid out a total of $54.22 for taxes for the years 1858-60, various fees and
other bills, leaving $513 to be distributed to the heirs. His widow collected a third, $71.17, and the 10 children each received $34.23. The total for real estate was not mentioned.
Rebecca Chriswell died in 1821/1822. She married Walter NEAVES about 1803.

Daniel NEAVES [Parents] was born on 7 Feb 1761 in Goochland, VA. He died on 19 Nov 1828 in Harrison Co, KY. He married Mary (NEAVES) on 1 Sep 1782 in Cumberland Co, Ky.

In Revolutionary War records, his name appeared on the army register where he was listed as a Soldier in the Infantry of the "Virginia Line on Continental Establishment." They also recorded that he did not receive bounty land for his service.
1800 Mercer Co, KY. On census records there is a Daniel listed here but it is yet unknown if it was this man.
1810 Nicholas Co, KY. He and son, Walter, were the only Neaves listed in the KY census.
1828 Harrison Co, KY, where he died.
His will, dated 9/8/1828 and signed by an X, was witnessed by M Browning, Harmon Stevens, and Eli Forsythe. It was probated in December, 1828. In it he stated he was "weak in body" and mentioned: his wife, Mary, deceased daughter, Judith Barrett, her part to go to her son, Elijah Barrett, "if he continues with my wife and behaves himself and takes good care of her," and infant granddaughter, Eliza, daughter of deceased son, James. His real estate was to be divided among his children at his wife's death.
