2/23/1786 His claim is found in Loyalist Settlements 1783-1789, having been heard at Halifax on that date by Dundas. In it he swore that he was born in England, came to American 40 years ago and settled in Sussex Do, West Jersey and lived there in 1775.
He was a Justice of the Peace under the British Government.
The report goes on to detail his property, both real and personal, that was confiscated and sold for 5,580 pounds, New Jersy Currency. His participation with the Brititsh forces in 1776, is detail and various certificates and 2 sworn statements including one by son, Abraham, are included.
